Private Office, Moorestown NJ

We were invited by employees of the office that believe the building is haunted. Their report included voices from several locations in the office, paintings coming off the walls, and a candy jar flying off a shelf.

The employees reported a number of potentially paranormal experiences:

History

Research at the local library's historical records room uncovered that until about 1940 the land had not been developed. This leaves over two centuries unoccupied on the outskirts of a growing Moorestown. The site was a garage for municipal use before being rebuilt into the offices that exist today.

Experience

We spent a night at the office on September 9, 2005. Our efforts there, as with most investigations, were twofold - to try to debunk experiences with normal explanations and to capture any evidence of paranormal activity that may be present.

We set ourselves up in the private office in the back, to see if we would encounter - or at least record - any of the unexplained voices. While we didn't hear any paranormal noises, there was plenty of ambient noise in and around that room - traffic outside the window, air conditioning, and the office telephone switcher from a nearby closet. There was also a dot matrix teleprinter - one that receives dialed-in printing requests - which didn't activate during our stay but would also contribute to the sounds from that room.

On review, nothing in video and audio recordings was found that could not be explained by a normal cause, as described above. We do not believe the office to be experiencing any paranormal activity.
