McElwee Road
A visitor to our website pointed us to a local legend - the ghost of McElwee Road. According to the tale on www.freewebs.com/hauntedroad, Lucille McElwee blamed her 8-year-old son Jacob for the still-birth of her second child. She drowned him in the family pond on the road that now bears their name, and, as a result, Jacob's spirit walks the road at night, from the pond to his gravesite.

A search of Social Security database turned up no local results for Lucille McElwee and absolutely no results for Jonathan. This archives goes back well before the time period these people would have died in.
