Moorestown Ghost Research Cases
Select public and non-confidential private cases are described below. In the case of private homes and businesses, we will never publish any personal, identifying information or photos.
Burlington County Prison Museum
Mount Holly, NJ
Operational from 1811 to 1965, this well-preserved prison and National Historic Site contains numerous examples of prison life during its century and a half of operation. According to reports, it may still contain one or more of its inmates, as well.
Eastern State Penitentiary
Philadelphia, PA
While not a formal case, its impossible to resist visits to Eastern State Penitentiary. Well-known from being highlighted on Ghost Hunters, as well as other television programs, E.S.P. makes for a great tour whether you're investigating or not.
Fort Mifflin
Philadelphia, PA
During each of our visits to this hidden historical gem of Philadelphia, we've encountered paranormal activity first-hand. During our second and third visits, we recorded EVP's, which we invite you to listen to yourself.
McElwee Road
Moorestown, NJ
A local legend shared with us by one of our site's visitors. MGR has been working to research the legend, to get to the bottom of whether a ghost really walks a stretch of this road.
Private Home
Burlington, NJ
In a home with a variety of reported paranormal activity, we were invited to focus our investigation on a single phenomenon - ghostly faces appearing in photographs. We debunked the case, providing a good lesson on matrixing and how lighting and perspective can affect what you see.
Professional Office
Moorestown, NJ
Reports of voices and moving objects brought us to this doctor's office.
Washington Square Park
Philadelphia, PA
This little oasis in the city of brotherly love as a sordid history. Before it became a public park, Washington Square served as a mass grave site for both the American Revolution and a yellow fever epidemic. Combine that with reports of a ghostly woman watching over the graves, and you have the making of an ongoing series of investigations.
